Alexander Dyumin (Dyumin Alexander Vasilyevich) was born in the miner's city of Gorlovka of Donetsk region in Ukraine 09.10.1968. When Alexander was ten years old he lost his father, he was brought up by his mother and together with his older brother Sergey grew in the miner's settlement. When Dyumin was a young man he was fond of Vysotskiy and Severny's creativity, he fell in love with yard songs and even went to Moscow to enter the Philharmonic Society and to get music education. He wasn’t able to realize it. "I grew in the usual miner's settlement and, as the majority of normal guys, learned the yard with all its delights", - was told by Dyumin. The first song was written by Alexander at the age of 17 years. Dyumin doesn't consider himself as a poet, explaining that his song is a state of mind which is not always kept within a rhyme. In 1997 Dyuma's friends, worked as musicians in one of the restaurants of Moscow, casually made a tape recording of songs, performed by Alexander who, didn’t suspect that his singing was recorded, sang at the restaurant favorite songs on his of the brother’ birthday. Due to combination of circumstances the cassette with this "casual" record got to Michail Krug who consequently convinced Alexander to record some songs in professional studio. Some songs performed by Dyumin got to collections of "Master Sound Records". Yuriy Sevostyanov who was the owner of the sound recording company interested in the young performer. In 1998 the sound recording company "Master Sound Records" (nowadays "Russian Chanson") produced Alexander Dyumin's debut album "Escort", and in a year, in 1998 - an album "Wolf". The success was amazing; listeners fell in love at once with a new performer of Russian Chanson for its inimitable sincere voice, for its vital songs. And the most important was that Alexander at last revived "the rigid criminal song" which as it seemed then at the end of the 90th, was lost forever. Dyumin, despite of censorship, sang about camps, about thieves, about the young children who had got to places of imprisonment. After "Fantastic Arbor" album was issued, Alexander Dyumin broke off the contract with "Master Sound Records" and produced a new album "Flowers made from stone" in November, 2001. Now it was in the company "Classic Company" with which he has cooperated till today. In the songs of this album Alexander kept the rigid style, however, more responsible approached to arrangements of the songs. Alexander Dyumin goes on tour across Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS countries, near and far abroad. Dyumin often takes part in charitable actions, visiting with concerts colony for minors, female and man's colonies of various regimes. Because of too busy tour and concert schedule only at the end of 2003 Alexander found a time for recording of the fifth album "Right Way". At the beginning of 2006, "Classic Company" produced Alexander Dyumin's following album, under the name "Cold Winter". Since 2006 Alexander Dyumin has worked within a project "Four Suits" under the direction of Yuriy Almazov to which entered Almazov himself, Mikhail Sheleg, Zheka and Alexander Dyumin. Within this project many songs, from which then selected 13, were recorded and used on tour across the CIS and the world. About this project there were many conversations, hearings and debates, only one, however, was important - the project gained recognition! Alexander is fond of riding and game in backgammon. In his collection there are a lot of gift backgammon got from admirers. Now Alexander Dyumin lives in Moscow. He is married. Brings up a daughter.
