Anatoly Dneprov was born on April 1, 1947 at three o'clock in the morning. Sofia was happy: her son was large, beautiful and in a getup. I do not joke: Anatoly was born «in a shirt», and it was a happy sign. So, that Ukrainian night in the city of Dnepropetrovsk wasn't silent: and father Simyon wasn't able to rejoice silently. He arranged at once a holiday for all neighbors in the yard. Those days were friendly for both families, and yards. Anatoliy’s father was always a person ethereal: the participant of two wars, he was able to appreciate life. He was wounded three times, during the Second World War, and came back home as a disabled person of the 2nd group, he adored his wife and children. Anatoliy has a sister Larissa, now she lives in Israel with her mother, a husband and two daughters. But let’s return to that unpacific night of 1947. Since that night the life in the house of Sofia and Simyon ran quickly and cheerfully. Anatoliy didn’t let to miss. At five years old, Anatoliy learned to play an accordion and selected by himself, for hearing, all songs popular at that time. Neighbors every day listened for free to an every evening concert. In 1954 Anatoliy went to school number 9 in Dnepropetrovsk. In 1962 after the 8th class Anatoly arrived to Dnepropetrovsk industrial technical school as a master of instrumentations. What did he forget there – Anatoliy even now wouldn’t understand. But what happened, that happened. However, in 2 years his soul didn't sustain, and Anatoliy went to the city of Grozny and tried to enter a musical school. All the subjects passed perfectly well, but as for literature, he got unsatisfactory mark. Well, such things also happen. Einstein had a three on mathematics! Don't judge me for this comparison, but talented people are always meet more difficulties, than … However, you know it! So after unsuccessful terrible voyage to Grozny Anatoliy came back to devices of technical school and took the most active part in amateur performances! And still, the soul of the musician didn't sustain sciences and in 1964 he entered a music school of Glinka in his hometown Dnepropetrovsk. In 1967 as all the normal children, Anatoliy went to the army. And 2 years of his life were devoted to the ensemble «Songs and dancing» of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Moldova in Kiev. Vasilyev, who was an art director of the ensemble, unlike teachers in Grozny, at once estimated Anatoliy Dneprov's abilities. In the army Anatoliy attended courses on composition in the Kiev Conservatory. After the army Anatoliy came back to school, and in 1971 finished the study. By the way, Anatoly Dneprov created the first jazz group with which he took part in many actions with the most known musicians of the USSR in the hometown. But it was a little for him and in 1971 Anatoliy moved to Moscow, and started to write the songs for all the known performers. Certainly, the arrival to Moscow, and the beginning of the real work was difficult. But now it would not be desirable to remember. It would be desirable to remember that songs of the young composer performed by Kobzon, Rotaru, Bregvadze, ensembles «Singing Hearts», «Cheerful children», "Semi-precious Stones", "Flame", "Bird of Happiness", "Flowers", «Young voices», etc. His songs instantly became popular. And such songs as «The Whole World» (P. Leonidov's verses), «Clouds in the River» (I. Kohanovskiy's verses) «I won't forget this summer», «17 years» (V. Kharitonov's verses), "Russia" (O. Pavlova's verses) – till now are remembered and loved by many people. In 1973 he married, and in 1979 he together with his wife Olga and son Phillip immigrated to the USA, New York. The first 2 years Anatoliy as a true emigrant continued to write and created a group with the American musicians. The group was called «New Ways». In 1982 Anatoliy had luck to meet the well-known producer of show business – John Hammond. John Hammond has opened to the world such stars, as Ben Goodman, Sara Won, Areta Franklin, Bob Dylan and others. John Hammond became Anatoliy's musical producer who signed the contract with the large company «Media-Max Studio» where 3 singles were recorded. The assistant of Hammond Michael Harry produced these singles: "How are you, America?” on O. Pavlova's verses, «Good Company», «Lost» on R. Polizzi's verses. There were articles written down about Anatoliy in the newspapers such as "Daily News”, ”USA Today” and «Bill Board». In the article of «Daily News» John Hammond declared to all America about Anatoliy Dneprov: "This guy has much to tell”. Tom Motolla (who now is a general director of «Sony Music») in his interview about Anatoliy told the next: «Toly is a very talented guy who writes rather popular songs». The well-known American film director M. Zarhi from dozen applicants for the writing of a piece of music for the film «American dump», selected A. Dneprov's music. During the same period Anatoliy became the winner of competition of a popular song in Los Angeles. In parallel with songs in English, Anatoliy produced an album also in Russian, and worked in night clubs, went on tour across the USA and Canada. His songs became popular in Russian emigration and after a while in the USSR: "To gladden" on M. Tanich's verses, «Recognition with lieutenant Golitsyn», "Russia" O. Pavlova's verses, «Stars on a meadow» P. Leonidov's verses. And here, apparently, so iridescent life in America developed perfectly, but …. Great "But" practically half of Russian emigration is nostalgia. And in 1987 Anatoliy came back to Moscow. In 1989 became the winner of festival «Song of Year», went on tour with solo concerts over the country, and produced disks. By the way, at the very beginning of the American way Anatoliy started to sing the songs by himself. For sure, today almost everyone knows both his songs, and his surprising high pitched voice with intimate intonations of half-whisper. Nowadays Anatoliy devotes a lot of time simply to music. He writes fine songs, records it, but he doesn't like to fuss and flash here and there. Though, as told Hammond: «He has a lot to tell in music!». And he speaks; he writes and sings fine songs which from the first time become favorite and dear. Don't you trust? Listen and you’ll understand everything! Immigrated to America, then destiny regularly tested the musician. «There were also mattresses on a floor, and TVs on a dustbin, - Dneprov remembered, - earned money, working as a taxi driver, and proceeds spent for records». Repeatedly Dneprov was between life and death. Certainly, after a while horrors of the American life ended, and the musician started a new creative growth, and with it, naturally, gained new acquaintances and communications. «It is a pity that in Russia nobody knew about what I was engaged in America. And after all I had the group. About me newspapers wrote and called a very talented musician, - Anatoliy told - I worked with very known American producer who even received Oscar». This cooperation, apparently, wasn't in vain. Anatoliy Dneprov had written a set of popular hits, such as: "To gladden", "Russia", «Jewish boy», «Wheels», «Clouds in the river», "Will not understand", «Face in the palms», «Long ago passed childhood» and many other remarkable songs which till now has been performed by popular groups and performers. On May, 5 in 2008 on the road Volgograd - Rostov - on - Don died the great singer and composer Anatoliy Dneprov. At seven o'clock in the evening his concert should have taken place.
