The Butyrka group was formed due to Oleg Simonov and Vladimir Zhdamirov's joint efforts. The history of group begins with September, 2001. By this time collective has some songs recorded at studio in Voronezh, but yet they have no name. Among all the Moscow sound recording companies to which the musicians addressed in beginning, the collective became interesting only to the company «Master Sound», well-known to admirers by a genre under the name «Russian chanson». Here they were noticed by a producer A. Abramov who in his turn convinced the director of the firm Sevastyanov to pay attention to the group. Sevastyanov having the most wide experience of opening of stars of a chanson genre (M.Krug, S. Nagovitsyn and many other) agreed to release of a debut album. To tell the truth the collective yet had no name. But when, on September 3, 2001 some prisoners made an impudent escape from the Moscow pre-trial detention center known under the name "Butyrka", A. Abramov offered to call with this name the collective. The name was pleasant to all and it got accustomed. Debut «The first album», produced in 2002 made stunning success. The original sounding, V. Zhdamirov's recognizable vocal, and also sincerity of verses of O. Simonov at once made the collective popular. The subjects mentioned by Oleg in verses, were clear and familiar to people with life behind a barbed wire not by hearsay. But there is also one more feature — subjects of songs of Butyrka not only about prison and camps, there are a lot of simple histories, similar to the stories from life of people. «The second album» was published in the same 2002. It became a worthy continuation of the successful debut and fixed the success of the group. At the ceremony of public musical award «Worthy song of 2002», organized in BKZ "October", the group won the nomination «Opening of year» and was awarded for the best video in the «Russian chanson» genre (the clip of the song «Began to smell by the spring» A. Tumandeev – stage director). In January, 2004 there was the third album under the name "Message". In 2005 there was the fourth album "Icon". In 2007 there was the fifth album under the name "Globe". In 2008 there was «The sixth album» of Butyrka group. This album included only some new songs, and it became a latest album created within the contract of group with the company «Russian chanson». From this point Butyrka group began its individual independent creative development. Despite a breach of the contract with group, the company «Russian chanson» continues to publish independently new songs which were stolen at group Butyrka. In 2009 the Butyrka group developed the first «The second album» was published in the same 2002. It became worthy continuation of a successful debut and fixed success of group. On delivery of a public musical award «Worthy song of 2002», passing in BKZ "October", the group won the nomination «Opening of year» and was awarded awards for the best video in a genre «Russian chanson» (the clip on the song «Began to smell in the spring» cut. A.Tumandeev). In January, 2004 there was the third album under the name "News". In 2005 there was the fourth album "Icon". In 2007 there was the fifth album under the name "Globe". From this point Butyrka began groups individual, independent there is nobody creative development. Despite a rupture of the contract with group the company «Russian chanson» continues to publish independently new songs which were stolen from Butyrka group. In 2009 the Butyrka group developed the first official site (on which it will place information of new albums, concerts).
